eterans Enhanced Treatment Services (V.E.T.S.)

The psychological and physical stresses suffered during recent and past military conflict and terrorism have caused more and more U.S. Armed Services veterans to abuse alcohol and other drugs.  With this in mind, J-CAP, Inc. created a service track within their residential drug treatment program and designed it to meet the unique needs of veterans as they relate to substance abuse and mental health issues.

Only veterans who are admitted to J-CAP's Residential Drug Treatment program are eligible to participate in V.E.T.S.

J-CAP V.E.T.S. provides a safe and supportive environment and helps bring positive change to the lives of veterans and their families. Services include
:
  • Residential Substance Abuse Treatment
  • Medical/Mental Health Care
  • Counseling for Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome (PTSS)
  • HIV/AIDS Health Monitoring and Treatment Adherence
  • Veteran-based Individual/Group Counseling
  • Family Counseling and Support Services
  • Counseling Groups for Men and Women
  • Veterans Anger Management Workshops
  • Veterans Benefits/Entitlement Acquisition Services

Veterans Who Remain

Although we are known as veterans, we are still soldiers true at heart.

And although the war still rages on, we still remain to do our part.

We still remain to carry the burden and tears of the soldiers who have died.

And we still remain to see our wounded friends; a testament that they tried.

We no longer fight, on the bloody battlefield of hell.

But we still remain behind for those who will listen to the stories that we tell.

We tell of friendships that were forged like a precious diamond throughout time.

And of a love we have for all soldiers that no one can ever define.

Our war rages on inside of us for an eternity with no peace.

Because as long as our comrades die, the war for us does not cease.

We still remain to fight our silent battle and to shed our silent tear.

But we still remain behind to show our comrades that we are veterans who still care.

There is nothing that will silence our battle cry and nothing that can ease our pain.

Because we will always be soldiers. We are the veterans who still remain.
